intro

this is mi! i met her in the prep program before the start of sixth grade. though the program was only a week long, i knew she was my literal soulmate. we got along so naturally and she's just home to me. she is the MOST kind-hearted, funny, and caring person i know. she takes care of me when i need it, and like i always tell her, she's just a constant reminder of how amazing life can be.

my favorite thing about her is how she tries to see the good in everyone all the time. no matter how "bad" someone can be, she'll always give them another chance. she inspires me to be a better person. i admire her kindness and selflessness so much, and i have learned and i still continue to learn so much from her. ♡

my favorite memories with mi

before the concert

mi and i were in our middle school's choir in seventh grade. before our concert, we had like 2-3 hours of free time. we hung out near taraval, got food, and went to the park. i remember sitting down on the park bench with her with my head on her shoulder, and just feeling so safe. it's the little moments that really make me happy.

inception

she came over to my house after we hung out with another one of our friends, and we just spent the rest of the afternoon napping, going on tik tok, making cards for our friend's birthday, and at around 8, i suggested making mac 'n' cheese because we were both kind of hungry. she watched me make it for her, and together, we just sat down with our food and watched inception. though the movie was honestly a little boring, it was still nice cooking with her and just enjoying such a small activity together.

new year's resolutions

we were video calling over discord and the both of us really just dove deep into our family issues and bonded over the same feelings of guilt and sadness. it was the first time i had cried in front of her (i think) and it was just a really monumental moment in our friendship. i had never felt so comfortable around someone, and i never had anyone to talk about those kinds of issues with before. it made me realize what an amazing thing our friendship really was.

this song means a lot to both of us because we were going through a weird distant period of time and when i recommended this song, it was as if everything fell back in place. plus, this is our go-to sad song...i can't even count how many times we've both cried to this song. this song is just amazing in so many ways. i'm really spoiling you by sharing this song haha, i don't mean to gatekeep but gosh, this song is too good.

and that's my best friend (more like, soulmate), mi tang! :) she is the most precious thing to me, and honestly just the light in my life. i'm incredibly grateful for her. i can't wait to keep making happy memories with her.
